Solid State Materials and DevicesSERIES EDITOR: Sanjay Banerjee, University of Texas, Austin
This series publishes with two basic goals in mind: 1) develop the basic physical concepts to understand current and future electronic materials and devices; 2) provide a sound understanding of current solid state devices and technology so that their applications to electronic circuits and systems can be appreciated. This series will provide an overview of the most important types of solid state devices. The lectures will describe the operation and design issues of the devices, point out how materials properties affect device operation, and discuss the overall architecture issues for systems. The authors selected to write the lectures are leading experts on the subject, and have extensive academic or industrial background in device physics, materials science and ultra large scale integrated circuit technology and systems.
